Помилование на государственный праздник. Президент Грузии подписал указы о помиловании 66 заключенных. Все они выходят на свободу сегодня и смогут отметить День восстановления государственной независимости Грузии в кругу своих родных. Дела этих заключенных передала Михаилу Саакашвили Комиссия по помилованию. Она рекомендовала главе государства освободить или смягчить наказание для 70 лиц, осужденных за не тяжкие преступления и ранее не имевших судимостей. Среди них были 5 женщин и 1 несовершеннолетний. В целом на последнем заседании Комиссии по помилованию рассматривались дела 105 осужденных.
