STAR WARS FIGURES COLLECTION DISPLAY & SOME NEW FIGURES

This is my latest star wars figures display video which is my idea of the start of a Star Wars Figure Museum. I built this recently specifically for the figures. It is around 24 feet long and around 7 feet tall. I used 8 ft long boards and created 7 shelves that are around 9 inches apart (enough space for the figures). Since the boards were so long, they needed additional vertical boards at around 4 ft across to keep the longer horizontal boards from sagging. You wouldn't know this but behind the display is a concrete wall (foundation). I didn't want to drill into the concrete so I needed to attach it somewhere else. The vertical boards at the ends and around each 8 ft mark are drilled into the ceiling boards to keep it from moving or falling. I looked into plexy glass to create doors made out of plastic but they are pretty expensive, especially to cover 24 feet and the height I am looking for. Since I have more figures than this holds, it is nice to display a certain collection then switch it over to another one over time. We'll see if I end up using another wall for some more but not in the near future. The actual figures that I show are the newest ones over the last 10 years. It starts with episode 2 on the far left of the wall and moves to the right though they aren't all in chronological order. It actually came out as planned and is a cool addition. DIY: Nail Polish Wall Rack

OPEN ME!!!!! What you need: ( I bought everything from Wal-Mart except for the duct tape) 3 foam boards Exacto knife Ruler or Measuring tape Glue gun & glue sticks Duct tape (optional) - I got my leopard tape at Michaels The rack cost me under 20 dollars to make! :) Basics: 1st foam board: Draw a horizontal line every 5 inches, this is your back board 2nd foam board: Cut 7 TWO inch strips horizontal (these will be your shelves & then cut 7 ONE inch strips horizontal (these will prevent your polish from sliding off the shelves) 3rd foam board: Cut 2 TWO 1/2 inch strips ( these will be for the sides of your rack ) -Take the 2 inch strips and glue them to the lines we drew on the first foam board. Don't forget to glue them to the top and bottom. -Take your 2 1/2 inch strips and glue them to the side of your rack. -Take your 1 inch strips and glue them to your shelves to keep your polish from sliding out! -Secure your board to a wall and fill it! :D Want a faster response? The phone bears an uncanny resemblance to Apple's iPhone, but comes at a fraction of the cost. And that was Jonathan Gordon reporting. Long, winding queues of gadget fans all lining up to throw their money at the latest flashy i-product, a treatment usually reserved for Apple. But here in China, a homegrown brand is inspiring its own platoon of highly motivated buyers. More than 300 people lined up around the block in Hong Kong January 1st to get their hands on Meizu's latest phone. And that was mirrored in cities across China. It's all for this: the Meizu MX. You might be forgiven for mistaking it for an iPhone. It's not hard to see where the company found its inspiration. Some Chinese consumers love it. Among those lined up today, aviation management student Kenny Tang. [Kenny Tang, Student]: "It looks like the iPhone but inside the software, the UI, the design is completely different. [Jonathan Gordon]: "Three days on from its launch, people are still lining up here in Hong Kong for this -- the Meizu MX. It looks like an iPhone, but it only costs 400 dollars." Microsoft Corp. Pulls Plug on Kin to Focus on Windows Phone 7 (MSFT,VZ)

Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ:MSFT) officials announced Thursday that the company will halt production of its Kin smart phones less than two months after the handsets were launched in the mobile market. The company will instead focus on Windows Phone 7 devices, which are slated to hit tech shelves by the end of this year. "We have made the decision to focus on the Windows Phone 7 launch and will not ship Kin in Europe this fall as planned," read an official statement from the company. "Additionally, we are integrating our Kin team with the Windows Phone 7 team, incorporating valuable ideas and technologies from Kin into future Windows Phone releases. "We will continue to work with Verizon Wireless in the US to sell current Kin phones." Verizon Wireless, owned by parent company Verizon Communications, Inc. (NYSE:VZ), will continue to sell the Kin One and Kin Two devices, which were harshly criticized for high service costs and a lack of add-on programs. Shares of Microsoft are trading up 0.52% Thursday afternoon at $23.13, as are shares of Verizon, which are up 0.18% at $28.07.
