George Ismakov - composer, honored artist of Caucasus (Kavkaz - Russian Federation) George Ismakov is one of the representatives of Mountain of the Jewish people of Dagestan. He was born in the village of Aksay, Khasavyurt district. He received his musical education, then engaged in teaching activities. His first song, "Aksay Waltz" which was written in 1958 and gained rapid and widespread in Dagestan and beyond. Creativity and talent of George Ismakov marked a high award of the Government of Dagestan - was awarded the honorary title "Honored Artist of Russia". In the village of Aksay numerically dominated Kumyk nationality, which belongs to the Turkic language group.
