The regime has assasinated tens of scholars in the last 30 years and imprisoned dozens. Some scholars who fled the country and settled in neighboring countries (Afghanistan, Pakistan), they were also terrorized and killed by the regime. What was his crime? Shaikh Abdul-Ali Kheyrshahi (May Allah protect him), of Khorasani province, is a great defender of Sunnah and refutar of those who attack the Main stream Islam. Sheikh Kheyrshahi did not insult any marja nor made takfeer of any of them. He did not also insult the regime. He only criticized the govrnemnt for inviting Tijani in a TV show to tell his story of 'mis'guidance, during the so called 'Year of shia - sunni unity'. [Hypocrisy]. He Challenged the govrnment that if they are fair, then let him bring 10 former shias who became Sunni and allow them to appear on TV and tell their story of guidance.
