| This is an animation that I made for a Japanese NGO, the Save the Dugong Campaign Center (SDCC) "www.sdcc.jp which I have been supporting for a while. This only explains fairy basic information about this weird creature, DUGONG and the surrounding situations. The dugong is loosing its number because of the environmental destruction and some other issues. In addition to these issues, the Japanese government has been planing to construct the US army base at the offshore of Okinawa. This construction will destroy dugong's home in Japan. The Save the Dugong Campaign Center is against the construction from the environmental point of view. I do not think the situation that the dugong or Okinawa is facing is known well even in Japan so I hope this animation helps more people to know about it. SDCC has a Facebook group.
