VW Routan 0-60 mph in 6.9 seconds - When did minivans get this quick? (drift, burnout, launch)

I took my wife's 283 horsepower (Pentastar 3.6L V6) 2012 VW Routan minivan out for a spin today and was surprised with how much power it has. It's severely traction limited in 1st gear, but I still cracked off a few high 6 second 0-60 mph runs. That's quicker than most cars I've owned in my life! 2011 LEXUS ISF 0-60/80 MPH Times - STOCK 1st try

here is a better look at the ISF's AWESOME acceleration...last video i made the ground was wet and it wasnt a very good indication of how fast this car is. This is a little better. I just did it once so im sure i could get a better number with a few more try's. I thought this was decent for just tossing the camera up and going for it. Also, while i was making this video, i got an Email from Psyph - he wanted me to try out a new track and make it available for download.......i figured i would do just that. Limit Pushing - Turbo LS2 GTO 0-60 Test

Just throwing up one last video before another two week hiatus. This one definitely took the 0-60 record. The long awaited Turbo LS2 GTO is here...and holy hell does it deliver. Thanks to a whole lot of help from Carl H at BlackBox Tuning. The Pontiac GTO: The Pontiac GTO was built by Pontiac Division of General Motors in the United States from 1964 to 1974, and by GM subsidiary Holden in Australia from 2004 to 2006 as the Holden Monaro. It is considered to be one of the most innovative classic muscle cars of the 1960s and 1970s. The GTO came at a time when General Motors had banned the divisions from involvement in auto racing. At the time, Pontiac's marketing was heavily based on performance. This change in GM's policy forced Pontiac to turn its attention to street performance. The GTO was born from a redesign of the Tempest which was to be called the "Super Tempest" with the larger 6.4 L Pontiac V8 engine from the full-sized Pontiac Catalina and Bonneville in place of the standard 5.3 L Tempest V8. The big-engine Tempest was badged the GTO for "Gran Turismo Omologato" after the Ferrari 250 GTO. The GTO escaped the violation of GM policy by becoming an option package for the Pontiac Tempest LeMans. The GTO package had sold 10000 units before the beginning of 1964 followed by total sales of 32450 GTOs. 75342 were sold by 1965. This optional $ 296 package included a 6.4 L V8 that produced 348 hp with a single Carter AFB four-barrel carburetor and dual exhaust, chromed ...
