| This is one of, (if not the best) song that Johnny PayCheck ever recorded, "A-11", from 1965. This is one of his best songs in my opinion, ripped from the original vinyl. I also like hearing his tenor vocals on early Faron Young recordings. The man is truly missed. I made the montage from pictures off the Internet. Hope you enjoy. Johnny Paycheck (May 31, 1938 -- February 19, 2003) was a country music singer. He is most famous for recording the David Allan Coe song "Take This Job and Shove It". Born Donald Eugene Lytle in Greenfield, Ohio, United States, he began playing guitar by age six and made his first record at age 15. Country icon and longtime friend, George Jones, purchased Paycheck's burial plot and headstone when he learned that his family couldn't cover the interment costs. He was buried in Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Nashville. (source Wikipedia) |
