It shows the amount of pressure that is in an abscess and just how much infection can build up and put pressure on your horse. I am not sure if this was due to a horse kick or Pigeon Fever, but in case you have to pop an abscess, this will prepare you for what is going to happen. People want to say the horse was being mean and kicked me or bit me just because I touched his abscess, no kidding, that pressure, heat and pain is extremely sensitive and painful. So after seeing this I hope you can feel a horses pain. This video is for educational purposes since a vet may do this, but in some places a vet may not be available and it may have to be done by you to help your horse. I wanted to attach this to my web page and the only way I could do it was to load it on Youtube and then link it. I saw this video posted on and it said the horse was snake bit, I don't believe this and emailed the person and they did not respond. Horses get bit by snakes on the leg or nose from either stepping on or smelling the snake, don't know too many snakes that jump up to bite a horse in the chest. Probably another "life long" horse owner that just wanted to make something fact when they did not know.
