AK-74 new out of box experience

AK-74 new in box, Century Arms must have a AK74 subdivision. This gun is perfect. New shinny American made barrel, side rail mount, threaded, muzzle brake, the barrel in the trunnion is perfect to. Nothing loose, the dust cover is nice and tight. I can tell they took great pride in putting this gun together. I still can't believe its a Century arms gun. Even the Parkerizing is above Par. I said under $400 to give every dealer a chance. But I will say the 40 round magazines go for $100 and the 30's go for $10 to $15. Go figure. That's why I never write a company off. I'm gonna buy 3 more to. I truly love this gun. Had some trouble mounting the scope the first time here, and had to edit out 40 seconds there. But a little Breakfree. fixed that. You know this is new right out of the box, right? And I bought that scope eye cup cause they said "does not include forward rubber lens protector". But its there, isn't it? Maybe they like me, I even got that pouch to. The price on the PSO-1, 4x24, used, military issue is to sick to mention so don't ask. Most folks know if something sucks I will say it. I'm my own council and don't play ball. Some just never get it. I got a pee now. I'm sorry I peed on your painting again.

AK-74 (Chapter 2)

Some more fun with the borrowed AK-74. A couple of points about this video: First, you'll be suffering through more missing in this video than normal. I had some difficulty getting zeroed in and seeing where I was missing. In looking at the video, I see that I was not shooting all over the place, but I WAS shooting a bit high generally on most of the misses. Eventually, I get all the targets! :-) Also, near the end when I'm messing around with bump firing the thing, it didn't occur to me at the time that THAT is obviously the reason for the malfunction or two. Guess it would be similar to limp-wristing a pistol when you don't have a firm grip on the rifle, when it's barely on your shoulder. I just didn't think of it at the time. The military surplus ammo I am firing from one of the "sardine cans" is indeed Russian. In the video, I mention something about that. AK-74 Reliablity Test at Blackwater

Testing an Arsenal Inc. SLR-105A1 for reliability. Three handfulls of dirt were thrown into the action while the dustcover was off. 30 rounds of Russian surplus 7n6 53 gr. 5.45x39mm were then fired, with zero malfunctions.

Polish Tantal vs Arsenal AK-74 (s)

The karabinek wzór 1988 (Carbine Model 1988) Tantal is a 5.45mm assault rifle designed and produced in Poland in the late 1980s.Design work on the new rifle officially began in 1984 at the government-owned Ośrodek Badawczo-Rozwojowy (OBR) in the city of Radom at the request of the Polish Ministry of Defense (the OBR institute had already been studying a possible 5.45mm weapon platform since late 1980). In 1985, the weapons parameters were confirmed and factory tests were conducted by the end of that year. In 1986 the first batch of prototypes was fabricated for evaluation and qualification testing. These early prototypes, initially designated wz. 1981, were modeled on the Soviet 5.45mm AK-74 assault rifle and emphasized a high degree of parts commonality with the AKM rifle.[1] As the weapon was intended to be able to launch rifle grenades, a newly designed, multi-functional muzzle device and a sturdier folding shoulder stock were used (the wire stock is a copy of the wire stock used on the East German MPi-KMS-72 rifle). Additionally, the wz. 81 was equipped with a mechanically-limited burst fire mode, borrowed from the AKMS wz. 1980 prototype developed in the late 1970s by OBR.[1] By the end of 1987 the rifle was extensively overhauled and improved (among the changes made, a series of components were introduced that were meant to be interchangeable with the AK-74, including the bolt carrier, bolt, magazines and the burst fire mode was further refined).
