Broadcaster and journalist Amy Goodman says independent media struggles to make itself heard. The Amy Goodman interview by Anastasia Churkina was uploaded by Russia Today (RT) in 2009. I synced the audio and uploaded the interview here because a lot of what Amy Goodman said back then I had been thinking for years and had begun feeling more and more stronger about. My grumping goes as far back as Cronkite selling Doublemint gum for the network. Cronkite would count the body bags; the Doublemint Twins would do a little diddy. I admired and continued to admire Walter Cronkite, who said in later years that the Six O'clock News should be exempt from having to make the Network a profit, that the Network should give something back to its viewers. So I thought what Amy Goodman has to say here is important. |
