Force Feeding Acanthophis hawkei (Barkly Tableland Death Adder)

Death Adders are very tricky to start feeding as they prefer lizard prey in their natural environment. This little girl does not want to eat yet so we have to resort to some drastic measures. That little thing has enough venom to kill a healthy human being so don`t try this at home kids.

Death Adder (Acanthophis laevis) Fare Yiyor

Papua Yeni Gine Death Adder'i fare yerken... ------------------------------------------------------------------- My Acanthophis laevis is eating a hopper mice. He arrived last week and this is my second feeding attempt. First attempt was with a live mouse and he didn't touch it. Tease feeding with a frozen/thawed worked. Commentary in Turkish.

Here is my Acanthophis hawkei feeding on a pinky mice. Very rare in collections outside of Australia, this snake is a member of the largest species in the Acanthophis genus. I hope you guys like it. Several Venomous Snakes

Here are a few species of venomous snake taped for you. The owner of the snakes is Christoph Studer and he was generous enough to show me his snake room. The snakes taped and photographed were: Several Crotalus species Naja nivea Naja naja Acanthophis hawkei Acanthophis antarcticus Acanthophis rugosus Hopefully soon I will have my own A.hawkei and A.antarcticus so I will be able to prepare more detailed videos. I have moved to Switzerland and I need to get my snake room back together. It should be somewhat ready at the end of December and complete by April.
