As we have reported earlier, I am sad to say yet again, that next season of Gossip Girl will be the end of the hit CW series. And, to make matters a little more sad... it will only be around 10 episodes long -- with The Carrie Diaries taking over it's timeslot at the beginning of 2013. In some good news, it seems the season is going to be more dramatic, dark and chaotic than ever. The network released some official statements regarding the show... so, let's break it down: In terms of Serena's storyline, the executive producers said QUOTE "Serena has gone off the grid, beyond even the reach of Gossip Girl. Her friends fear for the worst and hope for the best, but even they can't imagine where they will ultimately find her." Now -- as we saw in the season 5 finale, Blair chose Chuck over Dan. In the final season, we'll find out if her love is enough to help him win back his empire from his father. As for Dan... he's writing a follow up to Inside and he doesn't really care to protect anyone's feelings nor image. In a pretty exciting twist of events, Nate will work to uncover Gossip Girl's true identity... Now, I know I'm happy to hear that Nate will be the one to solve the mystery of Gossip Girl...
