| A lot of bass players are Geddy Lee fans and his "new right hand technique" (since Counterparts really) has been the source of love or hate amongst bassists. :) I'm not covering the whole songs, there are tons of great videos out there where members have already showed the notes, I'm here to show the right hand only. And I'm not claiming I'm perfect - parts of Caravan (and a couple of others) still give me fits... He uses two techniques primarily (with some modifications for tone) - 1.) The single index finger as a "pick" - this is a cleaner, driving sound (eg Animate) 2.) The double "flam / flamenco" rake - this is the dirty nasty, growly sound (eg Caravan) Two fingers with just enough delay between the first and second hits to give that "crunch". And he will mix the two in sections, so keep your ears open! Excuses; Horrible quality camera - only wants to capture at 15fps and 4:3 with low bit rate.
