Ever since the two girls started hanging out together, Kairi practically treats Sora like air. At first he is simply sad and heartbroken, but as he remembers all the happy moments he shared with Kairi, his sadness turns more and more into anger, self-loathing and even hatred. He hates himself for having left his love behind when he closed the door to the realm of darkness and saved the worlds. And he hates Kairi for making a promise she did not keep - to always be with him. In fact, she completely forgot about him and Sora's memories become glum as pictures of Yuffie and Kairi together invade his mind. He feels that he's falling and noone is there to catch him. Eventually, he turns towards the dark side and wanders off on his own to the World That Never Was to train by fighting the Heartless. When he comes back, he is intent on taking Kairi's life for ruining his own. However, Yuffie intervenes and a battle between Yuffie and Sora erupts. Kairi can just watch helplessly as Sora ...
