MIRLIFLOR Dialogue Dance company, choreographer: Karine Ponties (Kostroma/BE), 50 min. TsEKh'10 FESTIVAL OF DANCE THEATERS PROGRAM OF RUSSIAN PERFORMANCES December 11, 2010 /Moscow/ 20:00, The Meyerhold Centre Mirliflor is a co-production of Dialogue Dance Company from Kostroma and Karine Ponties from Belgium which was created within the framework of Russian-European project Intradance. The title of the performance in Latin means "fragrance of a thousand flowers", the four dancers are not just four fictional characters but collective representations which unify inner worlds of millions of people. The characters exist in the common space which is rather abstract, where all of their secret desires can be released. Their behavior which is at times quite aggressive, as well as the feeling of impunity bring to light things which usually remain hidden and demonstrate weakness of the human nature. Karine Ponties: "Mirliflor -- is a performance about people who "forget themselves", about the reserved inner beauty, which moves the four characters in the space where everything is possible. Amusing and strangely familiar they immerse themselves in the passion of the matter and discover their human fragility... Mirliflor -- is the fragrance of a thousand flowers, an old Latin word, its second meaning is "dandy". MOVING DIALOGUE - A Bucharest / New York Dance Exchange

Moving Dialogue: A Bucharest/New York Dance Exchange is a creative, cultural exchange fostering engagement and interaction between both emerging and established contemporary American and Romanian dance artists. Taking place October 16 -- June 2011, the project will focus on dialogue, networking, artistic process and professional development through studio research and residencies, classes and workshops, group practice sessions, panel discussions, and informal performances. Moving Dialogue is presented by Movement Research, Romanian Cultural Institute in New York, National Dance Center Bucharest, Dance Theater Workshop and Gabriela Tudor Foundation. Artists participating include: Mihaela Dancs, Paul Dunca, Madalina Dan, Vava Stefanescu, Gina Serbanescu, Cosmin Manolescu (Romania), with Maggie Bennett, Jillian Pena, Hejin Jang, Jon Kinzel and Levi Gonzalez (USA).

They perform throughout the world, create for dance companies and opera houses and won numerous choreography awards. Their works were co-produced and commissioned by: the "Montpellier Danse" in France, the "American Dance Festival" in the US, the "Place Theater" in London, "HELLERAU-European Centre for Arts" and "the Dresden SemperOper" in Germany, the "Lausanne Danse" in Switzerland, the "Belgrade Dance Festival" in Serbia, "Madrid En Danza" in Spain, the "Joyce SoHo" and La MaMa in NYC, the "White Bird Dance" in Portland, "Stockholm's Kultur Festival" in Sweden, the "SIDance" in South Korea, to name but few. Yossi and Oded offer new ways of looking at dance and exploring performance. They continuously challenge the process of personal and physical investigation, and they strive to create a dialogue with artists from different fields.
