| www.woofd2.com The Washington Owners of Flying Disc Dogs -- WOOFD2 -- demonstrate freestyle canine disc skills. Call it disc dog or Frisbee dog, but whatever you call it ... call me to come watch it! If you try the tricks shown in this video, be careful not to hurt your back during "back stalls" and be careful not to hurt your dog if you "vault" your dog off your back. Always play on a well maintained, grass surface. If you're indoors, be sure only to play on good mats, like they have at the indoor agility courses -- mats that are at least an inch thick. UPDATE: WOOFD2 has now been functioning since 2001, so we celebrated our 10 year anniversary -- A Decade of Peace, Love and Disc Dogs -- last year. Who thinks we will se 20? It's possible. As a club, we have found lately that our best partners are those with similar interests, such as canine rescue and dog fostering organizations, cities with active parks departments or citizens who are active in the canine community, and local events that we organize and run. Our partners in 2012 include Mill Creek, Auburn and University Place, Washington. There are others, there have been many others, over the years. Bellingham, Puyallup, Renton, Sedro Wooley, etc. Humane society events, adoption fairs, birthday parties and bar mitzvahs. |
