Indeed, Herman van Rompuy is not here either. Not that it relly matters, because they're not prepared to listen to any debate or any argument. They're intent on pursuing their political dream of a United States of Europe. They're prepared to commit economic suicide for an entire continent. Jewish Parliament's General Assembly: Europe's Jewish Representatives Conclude First Session

The vibrancy and diversity of European Jews took center stage in Brussels as members of the first-ever Jewish Parliament met for a two-day General Assembly. Representing countries from England to Uzbekistan, the 120 member European Jewish Parliament hopes to defend the needs of Jews from Western, Central and Eastern Europe. Online elections in January -- open to everyone -- were devised to attract young unaffiliated Jews and those frustrated with existing forums... The President of the European Jewish Union, Igor Kolomoisky, spearheaded the formation of the EJP. Co-Presidents Vadim Rabinovich and Joel Rubinfeld opened the General Assembly with keynote addresses. One of the European Parliament Members already listening is Antonyia Parvanova from Bulgaria. She was the guest moderator at the EJP assembly. Another female guest on the panel made a special trip from Washington DC...the Jewish Ambassador to the US from Baharain, Houda Nunu. As one of just 36 Jews left in her Muslim country, Ambassador Nunu expressed hope that the Parliament may provide bridges between Europe and Muslim World. The new EJP members spent part of their time in committee action groups, sharing ideas and solutions for the challenges facing their different communities... And we can hit those greedy bankers who we all hate in public, while we shovel money into their pockets in private. But I don't think it's quite going to work out that way. All taxes are passed on to customers at the end of the day. Sorry everybody, that's just how it works. So again it will be the little people that will pick up the tab. The only bit of real passion we had was Mr Schulz slagging off the English but that now appears to be the sort of popular sport in this parliament. And when people stand up and talk about the great success that the EU has been I'm not sure that anybody saying it really believes it themselves anymore. I think we are celebrating the wrong day. We shouldn't be celebrating the 9th of May, we should be celebrating the 8th of May, Victory in Europe Day. We should celebrate the last time the Germans tried to smash the continent and they foundered and at least half the continent got its democracy back. What we are celebrating on the 9th of May is another attempt through different means, to smash democracy across Europe. I don't doubt for a minute that Jean Monnet was well intentioned from the start. He thought that if you abolish nation states you would stop there ever being another war.
