| What can you say about this segment? It's annoying enough to take two years to finish. The reason for that is of course Palmer, who turns up 7 and a half minutes into the segment and requires a 1/36 chance 2400 Dice for a perfect battle. You can also accept 2000 without losing too much time, but 1600 would mean another attack from Palmer, and that's really not acceptable. So, how many attempts did this take? I don't remember how many times I tried back in 2010, but when I started playing again now, I got poison to stick and two sixes on the Dice on my FIRST attempt. How crazy is that? Needless to say, I was a complete nervous wreck for the rest of the segment, which caused me to lose a couple of seconds in the menu at the end, but there's just no chance in hell I'm ever redoing this segment, so I decided to keep it. So, now that this segment is passed, I'm nearly halfway through the speed run and all the worst segments have been put behind. There are still some very luck reliant battles up ahead, but they all come much earlier in the segment than this. In other words, it shouldn't take too long to finish the speed run now. Hopefully, I'll do it by the end of the year. I really can't make any promises any longer, since I'll most likely break them, but I can assure you there will not be year-long gaps between segments any more. Save time: 3:44:38 |
