So there are "Free Hug" videos in China, Korea, England, Krakow, Holland, ObniMaha, and even on the Kowloon side of Hong Kong. Nowadays we see people always using technology to communicate like emails, msn messanger, myspace, etc. There's a lack of real human contact, so by giving a hug to stranger, it would brighten his/her day up tremendously. A book called "Growing Toward Intimacy" by Bob Bartlett states that "Human babies do not survive or thrive without touch." Every human beings require nurturing touch, not only babies. People can die from lack of human affection. Till the age of five, most of the human population grew up with touch in their lives. These actions (grabbing, holding, tickling, swinging, or wrestling) doesn't stop at the age of five, but when we're at that age, we come to see the message of when to touch and not to. In Hong Kong, you can see that it's a different social structure then what we have in our HKIS community, so therefore we discover how different the outside world would react. Hong Kong is divided up in different ways, Tourists, Businessmen, Kids, and Teenagers. The wonder and the power of touch, it can either be positive or negative, each touch conveys energy.
