| Cherokee Shuffle fiddle tune is performed by the ETSU Hoe Downers (traditional music student band) at the old-time music event at the Kingsport, Tennessee Exchange Place 2012 Spring Fair on 28 April 2012. Exchange Place is the Gains-Preston Living Farm Museum demonstrating life and agriculture of the southern Appalachians in the 19th and late 18th centuries. Settlement in this area began after 1750. exchangeplace.info The ETSU Hoe Downers are one of 28 student band sections of the spring semester at East Tennessee State University in their Bluegrass, Old-Time, and Country Music Studies Program. This Hoe Downers are accompanied by their faculty instructor Colleen Trenwith, a native of New Zealand who has been performing bluegrass music in bands since the 1960's in her native land where the genre is very popular.
