(solved) TimeShift doesn't work? (full and demo version). Newer Hardware.

Old demo works, New demo and Full requires newer video card. Needs Pixel Shader 2.0 hardware. Sierra says WON'T run on ati radeon 9600 or 9800 along with many others. They used a new engine, i guess the demo i played was a beta release demo where they just testing concepts. My PC died so I built a new one with a newer video card and now the game works with no problem at all. If you can't play the game, you likely just need a newer computer with a newer video card or some people can possibly can get away with just a new video card if their motherboard supports a new enough video card. Works on NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT. My lack of enthusiasm is from being frustrated and worn out from troubleshooting any way around it, but if you don't have the hardware, it can't run. If you want to play it, you have to find an old demo version before they updated to the new game engine.

XNA Terrain Shader / Map Editor

More Demos: graphics.ethz.ch This terrain shader is a little project I made while I was working on an XNA engine. The terrain is drawn as a heightfield that is completely build together within the vertex shader. A 16x16 triangle grid is send to the GPU and, using hardware instancing, it is duplicaded and transformed to create the terrain. Using a color channel texture, 4 different textures can be smoothly blended over the surface.

Realtime Tessellation of Trimmed NURBS-Surfaces on the GPU

This video shows the tech demo I developed for my diploma thesis. Trimmed NURBS-models are tessellated and rendered in realtime on the GPU using the new rendering pipeline of DirectX 11. Since the tessellation is done on the graphics card, only the NURBS data has so be stored and handed to the GPU. Every frame a new tessellation is generated which allows a continous level of detail. Moreover animation and modification of the model become possible in realtime as no pre-processing is needed. Feel free to contact me, any feedback is welcome!
