Replace Convergence IC's - Mitsubishi VS-60607

This short slide-show with text call-outs is just a guide on how to access and remove the old IC's. You are responsible for any actions you take on your own TV - this is just a guide made to help others if they decide to undertake this process. I forgot to include text about disconnecting all of the cables from the board - when you do so, it would be helpful to draw a short diagram or label the wires to ensure you reconnect all of them to the appropriate locations. [HH] nVidia GTX 470 TIM Replacement Guide

HardwareHobbyist clears up some misconceptions and presents you with an easy guide on replacing the thermal compound on your nVidia GTX 470 graphics card. Thermal compound used was Innovation Cooling's IC Diamond 24 Carat TIM. We have found that this compound yields the best results. Results: Ambient temps: ~29C (~84F) Fan Speeds: 52% Idle 82% Load Before: 50C Idle 84C Load After (No Burn-In): 47C Idle 75C Load After (~24hr Burn-In): 46C Idle 73C Load Results for my i7 980x (Also using IC Diamond): Ambient Temps: ~22C (~72F) Cooling: XSPC RX360 rad with 6 Scythe S-Flex 1600RPM fans (push/pull), Swiftech MCP655 (set to 5), Koolance CPU-360 Rev1.2 Waterblock. There is no before as I used IC Diamond from the start :) Test: LinX v0.6.4, 4899MB Ram, 25288 Problem Size, 5 runs, stable.
