Lutsk Castle (13-15th centuries) was erected by Liubartas the King of Halych-Volhynia as a part of his fortification effort. Oles'ko (Ukrainian: Олесько; Polish: Olesko; Yiddish: Alesk) is small town in the Lviv Oblast located 26 kilometers to the east of Lviv. Olesko Castle (14-17th centuries) was reconstructed by a rich polish landowner Jan Daniłowicz, later owned by Jan III Sobieski the King of Poland. Pidhirtsi (Ukrainian: Підгірці, Polish: Podhorce) is a small village in the Lviv Oblast located 84 kilometers to the east of Lviv. Pidhirtsi Castle (1635-1640, 1779) was built by Grand Crown Hetman Stanisław Koniecpolski, later inherited by the noble polish Sobieski family. In 1728 the castle was purchased by the Rzewuski family. Deneshi (Ukrainian: Денеші) is a small village in the Zhytomyr Oblast located about 20 kilometers to the south-west of Zhytomyr. Deneshi Palace (19th century) was built by the prominent Tereshchenko family of Ukrainian entrepreneurs and philanthropists.
