| ....In my search for the perfect MAYTAG model 92 multi-motor,gas engine,,,, I ran upon this pile of parts, thanks Fuzzy,,see what you have started,,it's gonna take a little more than a couple of cans of WD-40 to get this bucket of bolts running,,at least a gasket or two,,gonna need a flywheel,,the hippie chick girl looked at this and looked me straight in my blue eyes and said all the duck tape in the world won't fix that!! I think the v-belt pully has been ran over by a bush hog,,I can fix that,small hammer,big hammer,it's gonna move.I find brazing cast iron works best for me..but will not use any on this engine,,this rebuild is in response to a request left in the comments..I will just get-er running,good,it will not be a restoration,just fixed up,repaired as needed,,just fun in the backyard shop,,subscribe,leave a comment,pass it on,,rust will be removed in the electrolysis tank,,spray can rustoleum rusty metal primer will be used,paint will be dark hunter green,three coats,,mix gas 16-1 non-det.motor oil and coleman fuel,or low grade gasoline,kick start,single cylinder,american bosch high tension flywheel magneto ignition,,autolite sparkplug # 3095,.020 gap,,this junk yard special rebuild will be posted here on youtube as progress is made,,this is #1,,Thanks,,,this is not the famous original antique unrestored red model 31 twin upright fruit jar engine on a wringer washing machine seen at the Ohio state fair museum last year...straight no chaser...? |
