Dan quickly realized the importance of the partnership between horse and rider. Later, as a professional farrier, Dan worked with a wide variety of horses and clients, many of whom recognized his intuitive understanding of horses and gifted approach to training. This early experience helped to build the broad foundational approach he uses so successfully today. The apparent need among horse owners and continuous results motivated Dan to pursue his training career even further. Dan and his family live outside Round Top, Texas where his training facility, Dan Keen Horsemanship, is conveniently located midway between Houston and Austin. Recently, Dan rocked the crowd at the Extreme Mustang Makeover in Ft. Worth Texas. With only 100 days to prepare a wild mustang for competition, Dan and his steed Troubadour brought spectators to their feet with an exhilarating show of athletic horsemanship. The extreme partnership between Dan and Troubadour has not gone unnoticed as they have been invited to perform at numerous events this year. His extraordinary gift of teaching has made Dan Keen a rising star in the equine industry.
