Nizhny Novgorod Region

The Nizhny Novgorod Region is located in central Russia on the Volga River and its confluents. The region's capital, Nizhny Novgorod , is rightfully considered the third capital of Russia. The compatriots, Minin and Pozharsky, came from this place to liberate Moscow. Pilgrims travel to the Saint Seraphim-Diveyevo Monastery, in the Diveyevo settlement to honour Saint Seraphim of Sarov. In autumn, admirers of the genius Alexander Pushkin meet in the Boldino mansion. And in winter, the Bogorodsk ski resort welcomes skiers. This is the Nizhny Novgorod Region, a combination of the familiar and the new.

The plane has crash-landed in the Novgorod region, the news agency «Great Novgorod.ru» have informed on it in the press-service of Central administrative board of the Ministry of Emergency Measures of Russia across the Novgorod region. On September, 27th, 2008 at 17 o'clock 18 minutes on the panel of service of rescue «01» have arrived the message from the head of flights of the Novgorod aviasports club that at carrying out of educational flight in settlement Borki of the Novgorod area, by the sports plane «ZLIN 142» the Czech manufacture during performance of the next exercise the wheel of the forward chassis has come off. The pilot the decision to detain an aircraft in air before full development of fuel was accepted, and then to execute a crash landing. To a place of fulfilment of a plane landing, on airdrome of aviasports club in Borkah rescuers of the Novgorod regional search and rescue group, fire-fighting crews, a first aid brigade have immediately been directed. On a landing strip work on a meeting and plane support at landing fulfilment has been organised. At 18 o'clock 10 minutes the plane has crash-landed. The aircraft of strong damages has not received. Victims are not present. The reason of occurrence of malfunction is established.
