It's quite odd to think that Craigslist is the thread that connected these musicians and now form The Shears. The band hit the local Austin scene gigging, creating a name for themselves. Their performances across town earned them a spot on the Top Ten Best New Indie bands by the Austin Music Awards, Austin Chronicle. An incredible achievement for a band that's been performing for less than a year. Recently the band recorded an EP. The Shears, being fans of Speak (well liked band from Austin) asked Troupe Gammage to co-produce the EP, he accepted. The self titled EP is mix of melody, lyrics, and raw energy captured in 5 songs.
