Liverpool Flying School LFS Lesson PIPER PA-28-180 Cherokee

Flying lesson in a PIPER PA-28-180 Cherokee. This is a four seater aircraft which meant I could take up my expert cameraman and another passenger. The weather conditions were quite extreme with a strong crosswind up to the limit of the aircraft on take-off and slightly better on landings (note when landing we're not facing down the runway - this makes it more fun). We managed to do quite a lot in the hour. Breaking cloudbase was fantastic as was pulling two G in steep banked turns. The trick appears to be not to over compensate as the aircraft does not handle like a car. The plane will pretty much fly itself in a straight line given the right conditions.

Me Flying and Landing a Piper PA-28 180

It was my B-day on 7\8\09 and i went for a flight at Prestwick Flight Center. I got handed the control of the aircraft at 500ft, just after Takeoff. I then flew over my home town and went right past loudoun hill before turning back towards the airfield where the instructor let me land it HANDS-OFF (No help from him. 100% me!). It was the best thing i have ever done and i am now doing a paper round in the morning to pay for lessons!

First Landing PA-28-180

My first landing in a Piper PA-28-180. With a light crosswind, I was able to make my first landing with the instuctor talking me through the landing sequence. Its pretty easy! You should try it!
