China's PMI jumps to an 11 month high while Eurozone PMI is dismal After weeks of poor news regarding China's economy, recent numbers from the Purchasing Manager's Index, the PMI, reached an 11 month high of 53.1 in March, according to CNBC. This was up from 51 in February and beat the anticipations of the 50.5 predictions. A PMI above 50 indicates manufacturing is expanding. Smaller Chinese factories, however, fell to 48.3 down from a February PMI of 49.6. Demand from overseas in both indicators was cooler than in the past.
