VIRGINIA WING & PATRICK ADIARTE in "GOTTA DANCE!" choreographed by Wakefield Poole

This medley of "GOTTA DANCE!" and "I WONT DANCE" featuring the lovely and multi-talented VIRGINIA WING as an office worker being wooed by PATRICK ADIARTE, the quintessential Asian juvenile song-and-dance man of the day, is extremely rare and of historical interest for numerous reasons, not the least of which being the stars themselves. For starters, the TV show itself is the all but forgotten "Show Street" from 1965, presented by the American Broadcasting Company [ABC] which is notable as the first variety show to star The One and Only Phyllis Diller! Guest Stars Wing and Adiarte both began their careers as child performers, and much of their work from the late 1950s to the present—is currently available on DVD. Virginia Wing began was a familiar face to TV audiences in the Golden Age, and is still one today. Aside from her active career as an actress and singer, during the 60s she was Internationally known as the face of Guerlains Mitsouko perfume, for which she won many awards, and she earned a place in The Breck Girls Hall of Fame for her Breck Crème Rinse commercials and print ads, photographed by Richard Avedon, Bert Stern and Mel Sokolsky. A favorite guest on "The Tonight Show" and "The Today Show" in the 60s, Ms. Wings TV credits also include "Route 66," "That Was The Week That Was," "Hawaii Five-O," "Emergency!," ""Love, American Style," "Diff'rent Strokes," "Law & Order," "Third Watch," and films "Savage Intruder," "Charley Varrick," "The Billion Dollar Hobo ...

Raquel Welch, Barbara McNair, Miss World and Phil Crosby in the Bob Hope Christmas Special (1967)

DVD: www.amazon.com thefilmarchive.org Raquel Welch (born September 5, 1940) is an American actress, author and sex symbol. In 1959, Welch played the title role in The Ramona Pageant, a yearly outdoor play at Hemet, California, which is based on the novel Ramona by Helen Hunt Jackson and Bob Biloe. She became a weather forecaster at KFMB, a local San Diego television station. Because of her heavy schedule, she decided to leave her studies at San Diego State University (then known as San Diego State College). Instead, Welch moved back to California, found a place in Los Angeles and started making the rounds of the movie studios. She was cast in bit parts in two films and in the television shows Bewitched, McHale's Navy, and The Virginian, as well as on the weekly variety series The Hollywood Palace as a billboard girl and presenter of acts. Welch's first featured role came in the beach film A Swingin' Summer, which led to a contract with 20th Century Fox. She was subsequently cast in a leading role in the sci-fi hit Fantastic Voyage (1966), which made her a star. She was the last star created under the studio system.
