The Administrative Center of Novgorod Oblast. Veliky Novgorod is an Ancient Capital and One of Russia's Oldest Cities. A Unesco World Heritage Site . It was A Great Republic at the time of Kievan Rus which was also the center of the Ruling Principalities. A History that is Forever Written in the Chronicles of East Slavic History and It was also a trading post for the Varangians . Veliky Novgorod is a Different City and is much older than the Volga City of Nizhny Novgorod. City Population ( 2010) : 200000 Ethic Groups: Russians, Belorussians, Ukrainians, Tatars

Medieval II (Stainless steel) Novgorod-Hungary quick battle

This is my first medieval II video in awhile, mainly to test the power of my new computer. Its a quick battle on the Kingdoms mod Stainless Steel 6.1, with the Republic of Novgorod against The Kingdom of Hungary. Recored with fraps, this is also the first video I've made editing with Adobe premier pro CS3 (I highly recomend it)) Some specs: Mobo: GB EP45-DS3L CPU: Intel E8400 GPU: MSI 8800GT 512mb RAM: A-data 4GB OP: Windows XP (ftw ;)) Settings all high/very high, 2x AA, huge unit scaling, approx. min 25 FPS with fraps *edit: was recorded in widescreen, I rendered with WMM, which made it 4:3, so it looks a bit thin.

Map: Danish Forest NOTE - this was my first time EVER playing the Teutonic Expansion. I never even tried Custom Battle - The movie I mention is "Alexander Nevsky."

M2TW Kingdoms: The Battle of Lake Peipus 1242, Teutonic Knights & Danes vs Novgorod

Unlike the real battle of Lake Peipus 1242, the Teutonic Knights & Danes are Victorious in the Scenario battle vid. I thought i was gonna loose cos its my 1st time i played this Scenario battle in Teutonic Campaign & to be honest i hate playing in trees, i couldn't see much & most of the time i didn't know what was going on. I intended to fight in the open near the trees but when i saw the Danes advancing foreward i had to do the same cos only together we could defeat them & i used the rock as a small shield covering my Teutonic left wing. However, the Danes held the left flank well & mine did the same, then both the enemy generals got owned & soon after i pushed forewards till the rout started. It was an avarage victory but like i said i couldn't see much of what was going on.
