| The comments I made about my knees-I'm a 59 year old retired Army Paratrooper and on a daily basis I have sore ankles, knees, hips, or lower back. I had a '04 CBR1000RR. Sold it because I got to where I had to lift one of my legs up to get my foot on the peg. The plugs for the rear cylinder are extremely difficult to get to. Like a Sunbeam Tiger. There's a hole in the frame for the #5 plug but it takes 2 people. Andreas put a vacuum line on the plug to spin it, the line takes a sharp bend, you can't see what you're doing when spinning it so someone from the other side of the bike uses two long screwdrivers to line up the plug. After figuring that out it was fairly easy. You can pull the gearbox out while the engine is still in the frame. Being an old racer who builds bikes, Andreas made the bike as easy to work on as he could. |
