| Terrorvision - dog chewed the handle Hi there, quite a few (almost a lot of) people have asked me what do I think happened in the collision video I posted previously. Before you see my answer I'd like to say that I am not a qualified accident investigator and my opinions are those of a casual observer who witnessed and recorded the event. I state my personal opinions in the video and they are not to be considered fact. Obviously the driver of the blue car should have made absolutely sure the van was slowing to turn left before she decided to turn right into the junction. With two cars waiting at the give way line she had right of way over those and she would also have had right of way if over the van if it was indeed turning left. So based on that split second of information she made her move. In hindsight she should have stopped to properly make sure, but if the slip land hadn't been so short it would never have appeared as if the van was slowing to turn in. The lady driver of the blue car was wrong but it was a mistake dozen of people have made because the junction isn't very well set out. There have been more collisions at the Junction of Clenchwarton Road and Wisbech road, King's Lynn since the new layout than in the five years leading up to the change. Thankfully this time nobody was hurt. Please take care on the roads and look out for each other if things do go wrong. All the best Liquid Knight |
