Stacey Brown- The Best Art In Atlanta GA

Artist Stacey Brown, currently residing in Atlanta, Georgia offers an eclectic collection of original paintings for the contemporary art lover. Born and reared in Murfreesboro, North Carolina, his artistic journey of discovery began with aspirations for a career in graphic design. After graduating from the Art Institute of Atlanta, he embarked on a successful ten year career in his chosen field, but something was "missing" in his life. That something "missing" drew him to his paint brush, and he decided to pursue his true love, fine art. His passion for the arts has led him to a successful career as a full-time artist, expressing himself through acrylic paintings on glass, and watercolor on paper. He remains visually aware of his surroundings by incorporating colors that correspond with current contemporary trends, as well as remaining in tune with his roots with traditional landscapes, and urban neighborhood scenes that exude keen observations of everyday life. Stacey's paintings have graced the walls of the mansion on the hit reality show BET College Hill, the Atlanta Street of Dreams Home Tour, and the 2008 Tom Joyner Fantastic Cruise. Just recently, he was commissioned by Verizon Wireless to create an original painting entitled, "Crowns of Praise" for the How Sweet the Sound 11 city national gospel tour. www.howsweetthesound.com His painting will represent the Atlanta market. Discriminating art lovers throughout the country and abroad collect his eclectic and ...

Bill Lowe presents Home Is Where The Art Is: 174 Peachtree Battle

Bill Lowe Gallery presents "Home Is Where the Art Is" at 174 Peachtree Battle Avenue in Atlanta, GA. On February 9th, Bill Lowe Gallery launched a brand new event series entitled "Home Is Where the Art Is". This innovative show concept takes contemporary art out of the "white box" and into a residential setting to demonstrate the way art can turn a house into a home. The first installment of this series took place in a traditional Atlanta Buckhead manor owned by the former Atlanta Braves pitcher, Derek Lowe. Partnering with Harry Norman Realtors / Christie's, Bill Lowe Gallery took this furnished residence and imbued it with heart and soul using a mixture of contemporary art and African tribal antiquities. The result is one of surprising drama that elevates the architecture beyond it's classical design origins. You Sound Funny When You Smile Le Flash Art Event 2009

Live interactive art video installation at the experimental art festival Le Flash in Atlanta, GA. Two Hmong actors engage with the audience via live video feed to them inside the building. The audience engages the heads by speaking into the provided microphones. The heads are projected 14 feet high and tower over the people outside. The heads are meant to intimidate the audience and reverse the roles of majority and minority and give the audience the feeling of being an immigrant in a foreign country. A collaborative project by Stefani Byrd and Wes Eastin made possible by a grant from the Atlanta Celebrates Photography Festival. Featuring Faith and Jeff Her.
