Man faces jail for recording out of control cop

Anthony Graber was riding his motorcycle with a camera attached to his helmet recording his ride. It happened near the Riverside exit of I-95. A Maryland State trooper in an unmarked car pulled over Graber for speeding. The trooper is seen in a YouTube video that Graber posted, jumping out of the car and tells Graber "Get off the motorcycle, get off the motorcycle! Get off the motor cycle, State Police." The trooper is seen pulling his gun immediately after getting out of the unmarked car. It's not until five seconds after he exits the car that he identifies himself a Maryland State trooper. Anthony Graber's Case Thrown Out! "Police Officer On A Traffic Stop Has No Expectation of Privacy!"

EAT IT! As many of you know country wide there are cops that are under the illusion that it is against the law for the general public to record them regardless of the location. Or to translate this into real life, it is against the law to hold a cop accountable for his actions. Anthony Graber in 2010 was driving reckless on his bike down the freeway when a unmarked cop in a unmarked car got him to stop, jumped out of his car and started waving a gun around, it wasn't until after this he informed Anthony Graber that he was a cop. Anthony was recording all of this on his helmet cam and he did what anyone would do, uploaded this to the internet. WRONG MOVE. lol. Anthony house was raided by the cops early in the morning, stealing all of Anthony's computers and arrested Anthony on Wire Tap Charges. Because of this charge Mr Graber was facing up to 16 years in prison. That's right trying to hold a cop accountable for his actions will now land you 16 years in the slammer. Thankfully the Wire Tap Charges were thrown out by Judge Emory A Pitt Jr stating that " Maryland's wire tap law allows recording of both voice and sound in areas where privacy cannot be expected. He ruled that a police officer on a traffic stop has no expectation of privacy." So guess what cops, you might have to think twice about beating and tazing people just for fun now. PS, HA HA! US POLICE WAGE WAR ON CAMERAS

Today's high tech world has made it a lot easier to videotape police, but it may have also made it more dangerous. Cell phone video captured a tense confrontation at a bus stop between a student and a Los Angeles police officer last May. The incident landed 18 year-old Jeremy Marks in jail facing a possible seven year prison sentence.The problem, as the video shows, Marks did not have any physical contact with the officer. Marks' crime was simply videotaping the police officer. The video shows Marks standing near the police officer with his cell phone out.He was arrested a short time later and was stuck in jail because his family could not afford the $155000 bail set by the judge. A Google engineer, who heard the story, stepped in and paid for Marks' bail so he could spend Christmas with his family. This is not the first time that someone has faced major legal trouble after capturing a police officer on video. Last April, Anthony Graber posted a video on You Tube, which showed a Maryland police officer pulling a gun on him. Days later, Graber was arrested and faced up to 16 years in prison for recording a cop. The official charges were violating wiretapping laws and possession of an intercept device. Law enforcement is citing decades old laws to address technology that has only been around for a few years, leaving people uncertain of when recording becomes a crime.

MD Police: No cameras, please

Maryland State Police stopped Anthony Graber for speeding on I-95 at a reported 100 mph -- while popping a wheelie on his sport bike. The traffic stop got a little weird when the officer, dressed in plain clothes and driving an unmarked car, busted out of the driver's door with a drawn handgun. The officer rushed over, grabbed the front of the bike and ordered Graber to get off the motorcycle before identifying himself as a State Police officer and holstering the weapon.
