EMERGENCY! Part 1, CN A422 breaks a knuckle and goes into emergency at Bayview Junction

Monday May 28th 2012....After getting a light at CN Snake 422 starts pulling but shortly after a knuckle breaks causing the air hose to separate forcing the train to lose its air and into emergency. The knuckle breaks at 0:57. Soon after I saw the conductor walking the train (you can see him waving at the camera in the previous video). He had asked me if I heard or seen anything unusual, I explained to him I only heard the loud rush of air escaping the train. He as well as myself suspected a broken knuckle due to the following reasons: The trains excessive length. Having a large section of the train on a slight grade. Stopping and trying to pull again while having a large consist on a grade. High Heat (32 degrees C) The slight grade is located between Hamilton Junction and Bayview. These elements combined likely caused the broken knuckle or the knuckle may have already been weakened due to overuse/stress and the elements forced it to break.
