Large Abscess Neck Drainage In A Younge Female

This 17 year young female presented with large swelling right side of neck. on examination it was a large soft, non tender, cystic swelling with fluctuation positive.FNAC resulted tubercular cold abscess. As the swelling was huge in neck region and chance of spontaneous rupture, incision and drainage planned under local anaesthesia. Patient in supine position with head turned to opposite direction for better exposure. patient part painted with betadine solution and draped. Local anesthesia - lignocaine with adrenaline given . small incision given with No-11 Blade and pus evacuated. we tried to evacuate all pus with that incision, then opening dilated with sinus forceps for better pus drainage.to drain thick pus incision extended little more. after ensuring complete pus drain , betadine soaked guage piece inserted inside the cavity and dressing done . dressing changed after 24 hours and patient advised daily dressing till the huge cavity collapse completely. A course anti tubercular therapy given for complete cure of disease.

Abscess- 4 minutes of drainige

Giant abbscess being surgically drained. The dr. refused for 7 days prior to draining this to do so claiming "there was nothing to drain" I also had cellulitus going up and around that hip. 6 Antibiotics were tried and nothing worked. In fact just 6 hours prior to this being drained I had an ER dr tell me "there was nothing to drain". I couldn't walk, all they kept giving me were different antibiotics and morphine shots.

Popping Bryan's Cyst / Abscess

We popped my friend Bryan's cyst, he had it for 4 years, he got it when he was in the navy on the aircraft carrier using a camel water pack for 6 months, doctors told him it would go away but it never did so we popped it to help him out! We forgot to pull out the cyst sac, so if any one pops one remember to pull it out :)

Operation Abscess Removal

#WARNING! NOT FOR SENSITIVE VIEWERS PLEASE - Stockholm,Sweden: My poor fianceé John, had an abscess on his back. Being the crazy people we are, I obviously filmed it, but mostly so John could see for himself, how 'it's done. To be honest the experience was more hectic for me than for him. Educational but hectic. Remember the patient & the Doctor are friends too! We laughed a lot, but my laugh is so nervous. Since I wanted to be a doctor once (a long time ago) I thought I was stronger than that. I'm not. I was going down... (I sat, did not faint) Watch! Thanks to the awesome doctor Carl Wilhemsson, John Moberger is healing well today - grateful! Whew!
