www.fitforafeast.com How to do an Aerial for dance, gymnastics, martial arts and other sports. Katrina and Sloane go over several tips on getting an aerial. This is an advanced lesson. Requirements are to have a cartwheel and one handed cartwheel first and to use gym mats or a soft surface. The best training is from dance studios or gymnastics facilities, but for those that are advanced enough, here are some of our tips on how to do an aerial. Don't try this unless you are already very comfortable with cartwheels and one handed cartwheels. Free Cartwheel (Aerial) Tutorial

I think I have included everything you should need, but please ask if there is still something you are unsure about. Please let me know if it helps too! If at all possible practice these moves at a proper gymnastics centre with qualified coaches. If you are having trouble with the height element of this move; you can make it easier for yourself by doing it off a springboard or onto a lower surface; just be careful if you are landing on a much lower surface as you are only landing on one foot. I mentioned the support for this move; but didn't go into any detail. I don't think it's particularly necessary; as I said this is a safe move to try as if you don't have enough height you can just put your hands down and do a dive cartwheel.
