| Hey, my name is Raymok Ketema, and I live in Berkeley, California. Berkeley High's the only high school in the whole nation that has an African American studies department, but over the years certain courses have been cut. And now you're left with only two African American Studies courses, when there used to be seven or eight. If things keep going that way, I think it's very likely that that program will be cut. I was lucky enough to be able to take African American psychology, and it really was beneficial. I actually learned a lot of things from that class. I think that that's probably one of the first things that would get cut. |
