As presented by South Africa's independent news channel e.TV, tuberculosis kills some two million people a year. In 2008 more than 9.4 million cases were reported by the World Health Organization. And, the disease is on the increase. South Africa has the highest incidence of TB. There is a growing threat from multi-drug resistant TB, an aggressive strain that is much more difficult to treat.
