| Rockwell B-1B Lancer Demonstration 2012 Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst Open House & Airshow Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (McGuire AFB) Wrightstown, New Jersey Friday May 11, 2012 I'm not even kidding around here with this. JB MDL advertised a B-1 demonstration ever since they announced the performer lineup and I labeled this a "I'll believe it when I see it" demo, since anytime B-1s are announced, they either pull or break. Sure enough, we had no less than two B-1s at McGuire - one on static and one on the hot ramp. This BONE performs a combat takeoff from Runway 24, ascends to about 8000 feet, and descends to make three passes. The last pass features an unrestricted climb to 15000 feet (though I think we went to 8000 feet). Watch that climb. Heck, watch the entire video! The Saturday and Sunday demos are even better! I apologize for the very short black or white blips in the video, as after all of this time, Ihave yet to figure out what causes it.
