| My review on the now discontinued model SGL-20, which is an AK-103 conversion done by Arsenal Inc. on a Saiga receiver. Again, I apologize for the video quality; that's what happens when you record on a web cam. I'm wearing an NROTC shirt because I needed a light background for your to be able to see the weapon clearly, not because I am actually in ROTC. This is probably the best AK rifle, if not the best assault rifle, available to civilians. That is because the receiver and barrel are made in the Izhmash factory, the only place that knows how to truly make an AK rifle. The AK-103 (SGL-20) improves its older cousin's flaws (AK-47) without degrading its highlights, making it a near-perfect weapon. The SGL-20 is no longer in production, but it has been replaced by the SGL-21, which seems to be the exact same rifle. The only noticable difference is that the SGL-21 on the website did not show different color configurations like the SGL-20 did. Update: After seeing another review of the weapon, apparently the new SGL-21 has an additional accessory lug located behind the bayonet lug, a feature not present on the SGL ... |
