Latvians love winter swim (REUTERS) 01.03.2009.

March 1 - Swimmers in Riga take to the icy water in an annual winter swimming competition. At least 70 people competed in Latvia's seventh winter swimming competition despite the temperature of minus 2 degrees Celsius and a layer of snow. Men and women aged 20 to 70 years competed in 25m and 50m races in a hole cut in an ice-covered lake. The fans of winter swimming say that once you try the sport you'll never look back. (SOUNDBITE) (Russian) WINTER SWIMMING CONTESTANT, TAMARA KUZNECOVA: "Everything started with stress, and to overcome it my friends invited me to swim, then it became a habit and all my problems stayed behind. Now I am simply living and rejoicing in life."

Nimrod and the Tower of Babel

To comprehend the story of Nimrod and the Tower of Babel, it is helpful to understand that Yahweh is a composite character synthesized by Abraham, chiefly derived by combining Enki and Enlil. Therefore, when we are told of Yahwehs opposition to the Tower of Babel, what it really means is that Enlil was opposed. The hallmark of Enlils character is his oppression of humankind. Nimrod, whose name means "let us revolt," is in the tradition of Cain and Enki, who likewise have been demonized by the Enlilite perspective which has long held sway over human thought. To further his association to the Luciferian trend of Empowerment, some sources link Nimrod to Osiris and ascribe to them an Oedipal nature. Osiris was the son and husband of Isis is some stories. The Oedipal/Luciferian disposition is one in which oppression, associated with patriarchal left brain rule, is rebelled against in order to empower right brain concerns, such as spirituality and imagination. The wife of Nimrod, Semiramis, is the prototype for the uber femme character expressed in such stories as those of Venus and Mary Magdalene. This speaks to strong matriarchal/right brain influence. Right brain influence is anthropomorphically characterized by goddess imagery, which brings enlightenment to left brain materialist consciousness, and is championed by the Oedipal/Luciferian hero. Indiana Jones Episode 1

The plot revolves around the titular "infernal machine" which was created by the ancient Babylonians and housed in the biblical Tower of Babel. It is supposedly a gateway to a higher netherworld, home of the Babylonian god Marduk. The four parts of the machine have been dispersed to the four corners of the Earth, and you have to find them in, youve guessed it, 4 areas. Each act has a unique game setting, as well as a unique end boss. This part is Episode 1 of 15, Canyonlands, Utah. Episode 2 will be on January 9, 2009 (Tower of Babel Part 1) Episode 3 will be on January 15, 2009

Amores Perros (Trailer)

Amores perros is a 2000 neorealist Mexican film, directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu. Amores Perros is the first movie in Iñárritu's trilogy of death, and was followed by 21 Grams and Babel. It is a triptych; an anthology film, sometimes referred to as the "Mexican Pulp Fiction," containing three distinct stories which are connected by a car accident in Mexico City. Each of the three tales is also a reflection on the cruelty of humans toward animals and each other, showing how they may live dark or even hideous lives. Amores Perros was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 2000 and won the Ariel Award for Best Picture from the Mexican Academy of Film. The film Amores Perros gives a clear representation of the division between classes in Mexican society, as we are shown characters from under, working and middle classes. But the film's theme is loyalty, as symbolized by the dog, "man's best friend". Dogs are important to the main characters in each of the three stories, and in each story various forms of human loyalty or disloyalty are shown; disloyalty to a brother by trying to seduce the brother's girl-friend, disloyalty to a wife by keeping a mistress with subsequent disloyalty to the mistress when she is injured and loses her beauty, loss of loyalty to youthful idealism and rediscovered loyalty to a daughter as a hit-man falls from and then attempts to regain grace. Let's Play Exile 0: Introductory

Hello, this will be my first Let's play, and the game I have chosen is Exile on the TurboGraFX-16 for my first. The game takes place during the time of the Crusades focusing on Sadler, the Syrian Assassin, who takes it upon himself to unite the world under one god... or so says the Wiki. I don't think the Americanized version goes that far as the actual Japanese version. The PC-Engine\TG-16CD version was released I believe in 92, however the original Japanese version, XZRII, was released late 80s. The difference in the american version and Japanese version is that Christians and muslim conflict was changed to be more fiction-like, as well, they altered all the drugs Sadler can take to be simple herbal or tonics. Even removing the effects of said drugs as in the XZRII version, you had a heart rate monitor which monitored the effects that were happening, as well, certain drugs killed you. The other changes is the ending, so what you see in america is only 80 percent of the game. What's that change? Well, simply put, at some point of the plot you time travel to present day manhatten fighting zombies and robots. Crazy I know, but that is what kind of game XZR series is, and unfortunately, that kind of crazy is toned down in america... hell, we didn't even get to play the first XZR game in the series... We'll never know the pleasures of hunting unicorns at the tower of babel. It is a game to be enjoyed, one of my personal favorite. So enjoy.\ Sorry for the poor quality. I ...
