| Happy April Fools' Day again, from Google. This year the company has announced the release of "Gmail Motion": Google has long participated in April Fools'—its first prank was back in 2000 when the company announced "MentalPlex," which invited users to simply visualize what they wanted to search for. There was also "Gmail Paper" in 2007, a supposed physical archive of all your email, "Custom Time" in 2008, allowing you to change the time stamp of your messages, and a 3-D version of Google Chrome in 2009. As for Gmail Motion, Twitter user michaelmurphy says, "I gesture at my computer regularly and it's probably better that it doesn't understand." |
