| The first amendment 1. Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof 2. Or abridging the freedom of speech or of the press 3. Or the right of the people peaceably to assemble 4. And to petition the Government for a redress of grievance These are the four parts of our first amendment, not just freedom of speech, freedom of speech comes second to freely exercising your religionious beliefs, and our federal government cannot rule on or make laws against any of these four items what so ever, period ; example prayer in school any laws ruling either way is completely against the first amendment. Thus the Supreme Court ruling is against the constitution and such ruling cannot be made, thus it is left up to the tenth amendment. Just for starters!!! Now the fair talk act for network by the FCC, which is abridging of free speech. It is and will force networks to have to limit, what type and who their talk shows may freely discuss. If a network was to discuss only one side or issue, that is their choice. Now if another network wants to do a line of hosts and talks on the opposite side only they shall without any interference from our federal government. To enforce such a mockery of such a law would be against two parts of freedom of speech, and freedom of press. Fairness is to allow all to be heard not force all to speak. Once force is used it crosses over the freedoms of this country. For then it is only one small step ... |
