You can use this information to help you make any gauntlet design or other pieces of armor. The metal in this video is brass. .032 for the fingers, and .05 for the rest. You can probably get by using .032 for all of it...I just used what I had. Most of you will want to use stainless steel, but if you do use brass, you will need to protect it because it will tarnish. If you clear lacquer on it, (like musical instruments, etc have) it will chip and flake off because the metal pieces touch and scratch. Use olive oil as a protectant, rubbing it in and then buffing it dry. Reapply as needed. Please Subscribe! I will sub back. ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS: NOTE: Make sure your rivets are not too tight or you will not be able to move the parts. Start with the fingers. Attach the Finger Parts marked with numbers 1, 2, 3, and 4 to the part of your fingers where you would wear a ring (closest to the palm I mean). 1 is pointer finger, 2 is middle finger, 3 is ring finger, and 4 is pinky finger. Pay attention to the arrows. These parts have to be riveted right through the glove (this will drive you nuts, but don't give up). On the template ... |
