Dawsn and Marie are performing at theFreight & Salvage in Berkeley at the West Coast Songwriters' 2010 Grand Finals. They were of the winners and will perform at the West Coast Songwriters sunset concert. West Coast Songwriters westcoastsongwriters.org a nonprofit organization founded 30 years ago, is one of the most active music associations in the USA. WCS sponsors more than 15 events per month throughout the West Coast as well as an annual International Song Contest. One recent contest winner, Sara Bareilles, has since seen enormous commercial success with her smash hit, "Love Song". In San Francisco WCS brings in two guest judges each month for an open mike contest where they have an award for Best Song as well as Best Performance. It is generally held on the fourth Tuesday of each month starting at 7:30 pm at the Café Royal www.caferoyale-sf.com In addition there are many more monthly songwriting competitions all over the West Coast, from Portland, Oregon down to Hollywood, California.

08/22/2010: Dawson and Marie (dawsonandmarie.com winners of The Dan Howell Best Song of the Year Award: Sacramento, perform their winning song "Lions Park" in the West Coast Songwriters Competition -- Grand Finals held at the Freight & Salvage in Berkeley. Their song tied them for 3rd place and won them an invitation to perform at the West Coast Songwriters 30th Annual Music Conference's coveted Sunset Concert on September 11, 2010 at Foothill College in Los Altos Hills, California. www.westcoastsongwriters.org All songwriters retain full copyright to these songs and performances.
