Xplorer Diesel Multiple Unit - Sydney's, Central Station, NSW, Australia 2009

Wednesday 9th Of September 2009 n the early 1990s the Coalition NSW State Government was placed under considerable pressure from National Party members of parliament to reintroduce passenger rail services over the Main North and North- West routes to Armidale and Moreerespectively. Services over these lines had been withdrawn after the Booz-Allen Hamilton report into the State Rail Authority in 1989 which recommended the rationalisation of country passenger train services and developing an all-XPT fleet. The government decided to reintroduce services over these lines, and soon after the decision was made to also introduce new trains to Canberra. Tenders were placed on 8 August 1990 for new 'Explorer' self propelled diesel railcars to service these three routes. An option for interurban cars for CityRail was also added (which would lead to the Endeavour cars). In early 1991, a contract was signed with ABB Transportation to construct 17 Explorer cars based upon the five-railcar set built by Comeng for the Australind service inWestern Australia. In April 1992, the government announced that 14 2-car sets would be added on to the order for CityRail, these became known as the Endeavour cars. At this time, the name 'Explorer' was changed to Xplorer to better fit in with the marketing of the XPT TrainSpotterX videos should never be copied for commercial or general applications. Colorado Railcar Manufacturing Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU) passenger railcar by US Railcar, LLC

Colorado Railcar Manufacturing (CRM) created a revolutionary DMU design that hauls more passengers, at high speeds, in maximum comfort, using 1/3 the fuel of a locomotive pulled passenger train. More than a streetcar, the CRM DMU is at home on freight rails and meets FRA cerification. Light weight with a low step up, it is equally at home in light rail applications. Class 150 Diesel Multiple Unit Cabride

A cab ride in a Class 150 but not like you would might think as this was filmed from the vestible gangway of the middle car of 150012 which is not used at all and it is locked out of use. This is my very last video to come from my Class 150 bash in the West Midlands and I have done this video as a little something different, this was filmed just after leaving Solihull Station as time was cracking on so I was heading back to Birmingham for my trip home. When I arrived to Birmingham Moor Street station I filmed the beast depart for Birmingham Snow Hill and then I filmed 150019 heading the other way towards Dorridge.
