ASUS EFI GUI BIOS for P5Q series Motherboards

ASUSTek is on the verge of releasing a graphic user interface (GUI) BIOS for all users of the P5Q motherboard series. The new type of BIOS called an Extensible Firmware Interface (EFI) makes the transition from an older keyboard driven environment to something so much more appealing and easier to use. At this stage it doesn't add any extra features except stylish good looks, but for those users who have been afraid of delving into the BIOS, now is your chance, especially if you feel comfortable in a Windows environment. You can monitor temperatures using color coded bars, and navigating with a mouse makes the BIOS much more user friendly and easy to use. 1969 Firebird "Routy" Holley Avenger EFI System Install Video Part 1 V8TV

www.v8tvshow.com - After our 1969 Pontiac Firebird was painted, we made the jump to Electronic Fuel Injection using the Holley Avenger EFI system . We were impressed with the completeness of the kit, that it came with not only the ECM, throttle body, and hand-held controller, but also the complete fuel system down to the hose clamps. We used an MSD Pro-Billet distributor for the ignition duties. After a couple hiccups along the way... mostly ground related, our Pontiac 400 came to life and the system worked perfectly. It's easy to set up, tunes itself in learning mod, offers datalogging, expandability, and more. The drivability is sweet, the power is instant, and the car exhibits refined manners. The Avenger EFI system lived up to Holley's claims and then some.

The PC BIOS is a dreadful thing. Poorly standardised and often poorly implemented, it has one job to do and frequently does it badly. The kernel and bootloaders are obliged to devote extensive sections of code to working around issues present in the BIOS, code and time that could have been better spent elsewhere. Everyone agrees that the PC BIOS is awful.

Tested: MSD's Atomic EFI system

We got our hands on the new MSD Atomic EFI conversion kit and test it out on a 1969 Nova with a GM 454ci big-block crate engine. We removed the Nova's old 850 cfm carb, which choked and gagged it's way to an underwhelming 285 hp and 296 ft/lbs of torque on the dyno. In a matter of hours, we had the MSD Atomic EFI kit installed and back on the dyno for more testing. The installation couldn't have been easier and the end result increased power to 315 hp and 322 ft/lbs at the rear tires with better drivability, a crisper throttle response, and improved idle.

525 Blown 8-71 EFI Big Block Chevy

This was commissioned by myself to custom build this big block racing engine for my ProStreet camaro. This engine is 525 CID with a BDS 8-71 Super Charger that has Electronic Fuel Injection. Horsepower is close to 1000 with only 8 Lbs of blower boost (1:1 ratio) and 93 Octain pump gas. On cooler days this will easily push over 1000 HP before Nitros.
