| Our volunteer project was to help in the construction of a training center for a community radio station association. In Guatemala, community radio stations are broadcast in Spanish as well as numerous indiginous languages and are the sole source of information for many rural communities. During our time there we worked along side locals and were able to try some authentic, home cooked, Guatemalan food. We were introduced to many local customs and heard stories about the recent civil war. We saw some impressive sites, learned a lot, and had an all around amazing experience.
